Colorful Finds: (Green) Chair

Retro yet modern. Simple yet complex. (Apparently it takes three days of handweaving to create this chair...dang!) This chair combines everything I love about furniture design!

CB2 (the slightly younger-feeling and edgier version of Crate & Barrel) has a modern and edgy vibe with a hint of retro chicness that I just adore.

This chair would be a wonderful feature to an outdoor patio, urban loft, or huge walk-in closet. It could add just the right pop of color to an otherwise neutral space or blend in perfectly with a brightly-hued room!

Colorful Finds: (Pink) Glasses

Fleur-De-Lys Juice Glass

I have been swooning over these glasses from Anthropologie for months now! They have a wonderful vintage feel to them, even a little bohemian chic! Classic Anthropologie, right?

Swoon: (Architecture) The Chrysler Building

As a lover of architecture and art deco styling, the Chrysler Building is right up my alley!

I am BIG on symmetry, so I'm loving the geometric pattern of the spire!

So majestic, especially against a bright blue sky - a killer inspiration for artists, architects, and fashion designers alike. Anybody remember Jay McCarroll from Season 1 Project Runway?

Enough said.

Fab Finds: (Etsy) Salt-n-Pepa Shakers

Although I've never purchased anything on Etsy (I chalk it up to my cocky "If they can do it, I can do it" attitude), I am constantly inspired by the talented artists and craftsmen of the virtual craft fair. These salt and pepper shakers are certainly no exception!

These shakers were made by Etsy seller RouDesigns, a mother-daughter duo hailing from Long Island City, NY. The shakers would be an excellent addition to any dinner table. I could see them working for a multitude of decorating styles - modern, minimalist, zen, ecletic - oh so versatile!

Colorful Finds: (Pink) Mixer

KitchenAid Mixer
Since this is the piece that started my pink collection, it makes sense to start out with it here. A classic in every sense of the word, the KitchenAid stand mixer is a total workhorse in the kitchen. Though it comes in a plethora of colors (Ice Blue is my second favorite color), pink is still #1 in my heart!

To New Beginnings

With a wedding under my belt (and a fabulous one, at that), I'm ready to start my new life as a newlywed! My favorite pastime (wedding planning) has been replaced with my new hobby - interior decorating.

Much like wedding planning, I feel a bit overwhelmed. I have such eclectic tastes when it comes to decorating, I can't decide what to include in our home! So, not only will this blog help me gather my own thoughts for our home, it will also serve as an homage to the designs that don't quite suit our decorating style but still look divine!

So, here's to new beginnings!
